Hummus
Can Be Prepared in the Raw and quite healthy

Ingredients:
2 Cups of dried garbanzo beans
1 large lemon - more if you love this flavor
2-4 garlic cloves
1/4 to 1/2 raw tahini- flavors to taste (Tahini is a paste made from ground sesame seeds. It can be purchased fresh, in cans, in jars, or dehydrated.)
organic olive oil
1/2 to 1 tsp of raw honey
Celtic Sea Salt to taste
Optional a sprig of parsley
Directions: This takes 3 days to prepare and the rewards can be quite awesome
1:) Take your garbanzo beans and soak them for two hours then rinse them thoroughly.
Leave them to sprout for 3 days and during this time make sure to rinse and drain at least 3 times a day. For directions on sprouting look below:
2:) Juice the lemon add garlic that is minced, raw tahini, organic olive oil, raw honey and the Celtic sea salt.
3:) Mix all in a food processor or blender add 1/2 cup of purified water with the sprouted garbanzo beans with their little sprouted tails
4:) Squeeze a little lemon juice on top and garnish with a fresh parsley sprig if desired
Serve this with an awesome dish of raw veggies or pita bread cut in triangles
Options::
A:) For a smoother taste and texture one can add a can of organic garbanzo beans to the above
B:) For the festive holiday twist, mix in fresh snipped chives and top with pomegranate seeds - sprinkle a few dried persimmons on top and offer a refreshing healthy appetizer before the big feast begins.
Easy Sprouting Directions (for most small seeds) (( our larger ones well do the same but with the amount above))
Soak Put 1 to 4 TBS. seed in a wide mouth jar. Cover with mesh and secure with rubber band. Add water, swirl, and drain. Add 1 cup cool water and soak for 4 - 8 hrs.
Rinse Twice a day, refill jar with cool water, swirl, and drain. Invert jar and prop at angle in sink or bowl. Enjoy In three to six days, when sprouts are 3 to 5cm (1 to 2") long, enjoy. Cover the jar with plastic and a rubber band, or transfer to a covered container, and refrigerate to store.
